Day 1

Slipping in a couple of moments here at Jux Tap, a friend's club where there is internet sevice...
We both lucked out on the flight over and wound up with three seats in a row all to ourselves.
Arrived in Milan fairly groggy and took the train to the center where we picked up our car from Kia. Then off to a friends house where we were given a delicious lunch  and a 6 day old baby boy to hold. HEAVENLY!
We then drove to Sarzana, one of my favorite little towns and are staying with friends who took us out for a very lavish and wonderful dinner. Wait until I can post some photo's. It's so lovely here...
& Now off to our friend Mamo's for an afternoon on a boat in the sea!
Here is a whole new life
brewing in my soul...

i will wade out

i will wade out
e.e. cummings

i will wade out
till my thighs are steeped in burning flowers
i will take the sun in my mouth
and leap into the ripe air
alive
with closed eyes
to dash against darkness
in the sleeping curves of my body
shall enter fingers of smooth mastery
with chasteness of sea-girls
will i complete the mystery
of my flesh
i will rise
after a thousand years
lipping
flowers
and set my teeth in the silver of the moon

ready already to go!!!!

*note the extra batteries for the camera and the very civilized suitcase size!
WE'RE GETTING READY TO GO TO ITALY FOR A WHOLE MONTH! I'M SO EXCITED THAT I'VE BEEN PACKED FOR TWO DAYS NOW AND WE'RE NOT LEAVING UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING. IT FEELS LIKE BEING LITTLE AND WAITING FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY OR FOR MORNING TIME ON CHRISTMAS EVE...

you are the morning. a little sweeter than the dawn. lovely only. as gorgeous as the saddest song. my heaven wraps it's winged and soaring arms around the part of you that feels mistaken. to find the deepest place where pain has taken you. where you have felt forsaken.
and in the dimming light i see you through an open window. though you only feel the wind shift in the dark of night.
you are like raindrops. glistening out on the lawn. until the sun comes out again. then you are gone.
but while you're there. all undone and blinking back the dew. i'll wrap my winged and soaring arms around you. the saddest song will see you through...
